Clean up time

Regular readers of this column will know that I'm pretty quick to throw a brickbat or two for lousy service... like the air conditioner repairers who have invoiced us for quoting to replace a compressor (circa $2000). They didn't get the job because another company figured out that it was only some electronics that were sick!

On a brighter note, I do like to shout about good stuff that occurs. Not so often mind. ('Cos it doesn't darn well happen very often that's why not!). But here's one...

Carpet cleaning - hey, we just moved office and I have three kids - believe me - I know about carpet cleaning.

Back to Life (ph 305 0360) put in a top effort (like photo chemicals, bluetac and pasteup wax kind of effort!). Including the `stains' the last guy couldn't get out. The place looked great. And no, I did not get a discount to say nice things, I just like to give credit where it's due.

Moving mountains...

We didn't realise TT had so much stuff... it all came in over time, so we didn't notice it until we had to move it all at once. I can guarantee that a lot of that stuff got carried down stairs and then ditched in the trailer bound for the tip - just 'cos it wasn't worth lugging up the the other set of stairs. Ahhh...

Out of this came a couple of "meaning of life" sort of questions:

Best wishes to you and yours for the coming silly season, please take care to make it a safe one.
