3rd Imagesetter

The cover story in the last issue of the newsletter reported with great excitement that we had installed our second imagesetter. Well, umm, we've done it again. Hope this isn't getting boring.

The new machine is an Agfa capable of 2400dpi and line screens up to 150lpi. It's also wider than our other machines, taking media up to 13.5 inches. The bottom line from all those numbers is A3 with full crops and bleeds and lovely smooth tints. (Mark would you please put that eyeglass down, that job has to be packed NOW!)

The extra machine has also improved turn around times even further, and depending on complexity and the number of pages, run of bureau has been seen to be as little as 4 hours! Rush jobs (those where everything's gone wrong and you absolutely have to have it now) are more likely to be accommodated too.

Along with the new imagesetter we have also installed extra laser printers to speed up proofing and an additional server to take some of the load.
